Come Sail Away With Us

Dear Friends,

In the hustle and bustle of life, I find that sometimes I need to unplug and get away from it all. There seems to be so many things cluttering our life that from time to time I need to intentionally choose to spiritually reconnect.

I have the privilege of traveling to so many parts of the world to sing and share my story. I have met so many of you along the way. And, yet, sometimes we need more than a concert to connect with one another and we need more than a few hours to rejuvenate our spirits.

In 2016 (which will be here before we know it), I am hosting a cruise and I wanted to personally invite you to join me and some very special friends on an unforgettable journey to the Eastern Caribbean. We’ll be sailing with our partners at Inspiration Cruises & Tours on Holland America’s msWesterdam. We’ll be stopping in gorgeous locations like Turks & Caicos, St. Thomas and Puerto Rico. We’ll also enjoy an entire day at Holland America’s own private island in the Bahamas. And, really, is there any better place to be during the cold winter than the sunny Caribbean?

This our third Sandi & Friends cruise over the past few years. Each is special and unique, but they keep getting better! Throughout the week you’ll hear poignant stories, powerful teaching and uplifting songs from my friends, including: Travis Cottrell, Sheila Walsh, Anita Renfroe, Selah, and my pastor and incredible teacher Marty Grubbs.

What I am most excited about is seeing all of our stories intersect as we set sail together. Through worship, fellowship, relaxation and spiritual rejuvenation, it’s going to be a week like none other.

Please talk to our friends at Inspiration Cruises & Tours if you would like some more information. We hope to see you in the Caribbean! Mark your calendars for February 20-27, 2016.

Come. Relax. Rejuvenate. We’ll take care of the rest!

– Sandi

Someday Devotion – Day 25

 Listen to DAY 25 MP3

At this moment, I am writing the final entry into this devotional in my legal pad.  As I have used several pages of this pad, I realized as I flipped the last page over, that some little munchkin, named Sam, has been doodling on these pages.  It makes me smile.  It immediately makes me think of him and in a split second relive a few moments of his life… and I treasure them.

Our oldest daughter, Anna, five months ago gave birth to her first-born son.  That’s a big deal to a mom.  She’s nursed him… changed him… and rocked him… and she too treasures these things in her heart.

Mary was loyal and faithful to her son, even to the cross.  She was one of the last ones to stand by his side.  And some of Jesus’ last spoken thoughts were to his mother.  He wanted to make sure she would be cared for after he was physically gone.

Can you imagine all of the emotion of a lifetime she must have felt?  She was His mother to the very end… or was it to the very beginning?

My prayer and hope for you is that you have been challenged and encouraged as you have journeyed through this Christmas story.  Perhaps you see yourself in one of the characters in the story.  Perhaps you have journeyed far in your life like the wise men, or you have diligently gone about your dailyness, just like the shepherds.  Perhaps you have related to Mary or to Joseph as you face the impossibleness of your life’s circumstances.

Be not afraid.  God is finding favor with you.  He calls us to come to the manger and meet the Christ Child – The Son of God.  He calls us to fall down and worship Him.  He calls us with the signs and wonders of His creation.  He calls us to offer ourselves as gifts.  He calls us to let Christ be born anew and fresh in our hearts today.  He calls you because He loves you.  Treasure these things in your heart.

Merry Christmas…
